Papers, 1927-1928, containing letters, photographs and sketches. The letters are from the Bridgmans to ADAH Director Marie Bankhead Owen, discussing sales of their paintings and the creation of a Bridgman gallery. Also included are photographs of Frederick Bridgman and their home in France, and several water color sketches of France.

The American painter, composer, and author Frederick Arthur Bridgman was born in Tuskegee Alabama. He attended classes at the National Academy of Design in New York, and in 1866 went to study in Paris at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. Marie Bankhead Owen, after the death of her husband Thomas McAdory Owen, became the Director of the Alabama Dept. of Archives and History.
